The Clinic runs as an elective course for master students at the VU of any faculty.
After being selected from a round of applications, students work in teams for a semester (from the beginning of October to the end of February of the following year).
The workload of each project is commensurate with the number of hours required to obtain 12 ECTS credits. Given that projects run across three periods of the academic year, the frequency of meetings and study/work hours to dedicate to projects are spread over the semester.
Projects require flexibility, openness to engagement with other disciplines and commitment to effective team work, keeping at the centre the successful completion of the project for the client.
How to apply
The call for applications for the academic year 2022/23 has been launched and consists of a CV and a brief letter of statement. Master law students of VU Amsterdam will have received the details for submissions through their programme pages.
Other master law students from Dutch universities who recognize external courses at the VU are welcome to contact us for external applications.
The selection will be based on a mix between the level of commitment and interest from the statement and previous academic performance. The deadline for applications is set for 14 September.
